What phone do you have and why?

Been using Moto phones since my 1st smartphone. Currently, I have the Moto Edge 2022 and my wife has the Moto G Power 2022. I've chosen Moto over the years because they're more affordable for us. I refuse to spend $900-$1200 x 2 for a couple of phones.

I've always had good luck with Moto and I'm actually looking to upgrade in the next few months. Still deciding on with to get.

At all I only had 3 mobile phones. I started with a Ericsson T68 in 2001. This was replaced with the C901, because of issues.
My SonyEricsson C901 was bought it 2009. Worked until Fall 2025, than it shut off for ever without any "So long and Good Bye!" I changed the battery twice if I remember correctly. But ~17 years for a phone is not bad....

Now I have a Sony Experia 10 Mk VIII or so. I pay only 6€ the month. It is ok, but for me a smaller screen than the 6.1" would be cool, 6.1" is quite tall for my taste. But you do not find any current models with screens smaller 6".

I love moto i think they made tge very first cell phone

Btw i still will keep a samsung phone due to my samsung watch i think i can only do its blood presure calibration with a samsung watch its needs to be done every 4 weeks

I phone 15, I got it for free at work, Was never a fan of Apple, but my job issues me I phones for probably 15+ years. It started with I phone 5. before that we were issued nextels, I think my last phone that I actually bought was motorola startak.

That was a great phone.

It was the best phone, before smartphones came around It was the king.imo

Tello 10 bucks a month for 300 mins and two gig of data, all I need, cannot be beat. Runs on tmobile

Three phones:

1. The Daily Driver is a Ulefone Armor X31. A beast of a phone that is rugged, large battery, and an IR camera and illumination. https://www.ulefone.com/products/armor-x31

2. Furi Labs FLX1s Linux phone. This is a native linux phone but also has an Android KVM to run most android apps that don't require google surveillance^H^H^H^H^H security. This is one of the current wave of linux phones that are good enough to be a Daily Driver. 3. Motorola G7 Plus DEGOOGLED with /e/ android open source. I was on the dev team as a tester for this device and the regular G7 and kept this is a spare or separate phone when traveling outside the US. My wife uses one as her daily driver. I also have some other random handsets. I have a stock Moto G4 Play I got to try out PostmarketOS but it turns out there are like 5 different versions of G4 Play over more than a decade and this one is too new. I should give this to someone who needs a phone.

Previous DD was a similar Ulefone, Armor 10 I think that I had for about 5 years. The case was getting yellowing and I had used my screen protectors so I was raw dogging it for a few months before dropping it and it hit just wrong on the corner and smashed the screen. It didn't owe me anything by then.

Not a fan of moto, despite owning one. Their so-called Unlimited data is BS!
Use up a certain amount in a month, they reduce your data flow; intentionally!
Yeah, you can still text, you can still call and speak with people. But your internet gets slowed to such an extent that you can't use it for most things you'd want to. Such as watching videos on YT. That's if you used your data. Connect to a cafe's Wi-fi for example, then and only then does it become truly Unlimited.

Also Motorola is the only cellphone company that does that. None of the others do.

If it wasn't provided for free because the 3G network was killed off by everyone, I sure as heck wouldn't be using a Motorola phone for these past several years.

Sounds more like an issue of your carrier, not Moto and their phones. I've ran Motos on Verizon for years and now T-Mobile for several years. Never had what you're describing.

Again, sounds like a carrier issue.

I am on my fourth Motorola. My provider doesn't slow my data.

T-Mobile. Not sure what to tell you. Definitely wasn't the carrier. My previous phone was a Kyocera. I keep phones for years at a time. Never had an issue with Kyocera limiting my data usage on an unlimited plan. Before that phone, it was another Motorola model. Had the same limiting issue with that moto phone as well.

So far i like it my pixel the price was great and i was planing on switching to mint anyways my old provider was like 55 per month but there was always some extra charge so like 700 a year. Ok now with mint i payed 370 bucks got the pixel 10 included and 1 year of service . So i love it lol i thought it was a scam the deal was so good i assume its becuase the pixel 11 is coming. .but even on ebay the phone sellls for more then i payed for the phone and service combined

I'm on T-Mobile but never had an issue with them slowing me down. I'm on a business plan, and I know the lines are set to QCI 6 (highest priority). Even during/after hurricanes I've always been able to get through on it. I've actually had to let people with Verizon phones use my T-Mobile phones & hotspots to get critical hurricane supplies (medical supplies) shipped in.

@Monocrom: Have you ever tried switching between 4G/5G? I know back in the 2G/3G/4G days, on my Note 4 sometimes the 3G towers were less congested than 4G, so I'd lock the phone on 3G. My current phone pre-dates 5G, so I'm only on the 4G towers and haven't had a problem. I'd imagine most people are on the 5G network these days, so it's probably more crowded over there. Maybe try 4G for awhile.
