    XM-L2 90+ High CRI vs nichia 219

You can make your own. It's not that hard and is a fun project.

Possible to upgrade Novatac 120P led to 200 lomens+

I don't have any beamshots, but the XML is a floody LED...even more so when combined with the small reflector of the novatac. You'll be pleased, it wont be a thrower at all. As for the LED get the XM-L2 over an XML (it's the newer more efficient version with greater output). Tint is all up to you.

Possible to upgrade Novatac 120P led to 200 lomens+

Good memory! I decided to use the parts to build a P60 drop-in instead. After 20 trips to 50 different hardware stores all of the parts I found were better for a p60 build. Nice copper slug that slid right in and a somewhat thick 20mm brass (not the best conductor) disk to mount the triple on...

Possible to upgrade Novatac 120P led to 200 lomens+

I first put an XML2 in mine with great results which is a very easy mod. The T6 bin at 5000k is a really nice color... But the light currently has a nichia 219 just for fun. The output of the nichia is less than the XML2, but it has a very nice tint. I built a nichia 219 triple P60 drop-in...

With 2013 LED technology- who has switched back to AAs for their flashlights?

I won't buy another CR123 light again. I like the versatility of the AA/14500 lights and the power/ runtime of the 18650s.

NANJG 105c with broken positive LED solder pad

Hi there, I have a NANJG 105 8x7135 that I added 4X7135 to for a triple Nichia 219 P60 project I’m working on. The problem is I had a wire soldered to the positive LED pad and it broke off, now the pad is missing from the board and I have nowhere to solder a new positive LED lead onto. I was...

Why does no one have a 50 lumen level on single aa except fenix?

    The zebralight sc52 has a 50lm mode, and runs on 14500. Its an XML though. High: H1 280 Lm (0.9 hrs) or H2 172 Lm (1.7 hrs) / 108 Lm (3 hrs) / 4Hz Strobe Medium: M1 50 Lm (7.5 hrs) or M2 25 Lm (12 hrs) / 12 Lm (27 hrs) Low: L1 2.7 Lm (4 days) or L2...

    Is this a usa novatac?

Don't really know, but it's interesting that there's no serial # on it. How much did you pay?

    ZebraLight SC600 MkII

Can you take a better pic of the emitter? I want to see if it's an XM-L2. Thanks!

What is your favorite AA lights?

+1 I just built a P60 drop-in with this same exact emitter, and man it's awesome. This is my first non-cool white light and..... well, I think I finally understand the importance of tint! I would forfeit a few extra lumens from my SC52 for a warmer tint in a heartbeat...

What is your favorite AA lights?

    Zebralight sc52! Done and done.

    ZebraLight SC600 MkII

I don't think it works that way exactly. I believe the led/circuit step down is a function that protects the light from excess heat. Sure the light can run at 600 lumens... But it will be difficult to manage the heat. Also, I don't see any reason why the SC52 with its XML emitter and a 4.2v...

    NovaTac 120P triple 219

What driver did you use? The stock one? I put an XML in my NT, but I've been thinking of doing this. Are the three LEDs in series? Thanks!

    Novatac 120p questions/comments/advice and a bit of a story

I have an early version 120p that started acting funny/inconsistent. I just called them up, got an RA, mailed it in... They had my light back to me with a new pill and it's worked fine ever since. They were very easy to work with. A few months ago I put an XM-L U2 emitter in the light and now...

    Zebralight SC52 & SC52w

My new ZL SC52 arrived today and it is a sweet little light! Everything looks spot on… buuuuuuuuuuuuuut the new ZL 14500 is dead right out of the box! DEAD! DMM reads 0.00 and it wont take a charge. Bummer.
