Pulled the trigger on a quad for cheap on Amazon....basically needed to spend a few bucks to qualify for free shipping on an order, so I figured, why not.

Anybody have any current experience with these?

Seeing as they only hold 60% charge after one year, you would have to ensure you are using the cells often. They should be cycled at the very least once every 8-10 months and storing them around 30-40% if you don't plan on using them for very long, but you'll have to cycle them regardless.

I don't have any particular experience with these cells, but Rayovac in general is not a bad brand, though they don't list a manufactured date (at least the ones that i have) and some don't mention the capacity rating. When you get them i would run a test on them to see how much capacity they hold. If i remember correctly you have the C9000 right? If the cells underperform run another discharge and then do a break in.

When you get them, if you see 'made in Japan' on the cell, it's quite possible that it's from the FDK plant that produces Eneloops and most of the other Japanese HSD type batteries.

I doubt it. Package close-up on Amazon states, "Made in China." I am thinking Chinese Eneloops, which may be no bueno, but for less then $10 bucks, I 'll use them till I can't use them no more.

If all else fails, I'll pawn them off to my son for his Xbox controllers. :D

Discharged them out of the package and got the following:

1-1724mAh
2-1753mAh
3-1755mAh
4-1730mAh

Started a Break-in right afterwards, we'll see what happens....

They are made in China and have no date code on them, that I could find.

Next time just buy the Duracell Ion Core 2400mAh made in Japan Duraloops.

They're about the same price.

Yeah, I already have a quad of the Ion Cores. Got the Rayovacs to play with more than anything....still breaking them in at this time, will post end results when they are done. Not to worried if they end up being crap cells, I'll just pass them along to my son for his Xbox controllers.

Just wanted something try/hobby charge and if successful at keeping their rated capacity, then use them in my rotation. :)
