Home appliance upgrade help - gas range

Depends on what you become accustomed to. Wife came from electric but when she began using the gas cooktop, she loved it. I'd considered induction when we were planning the kitchen remodel and queried some of our friends, they suggested gas. (I thought that if the commercial kitchens were using gas, it was the choice too.) Only when it came to ovens, they were divided. Roasting, they liked gas and baking electric. Wife mostly bakes so we went electric there. After doing a few roasts and such, she finds it does very well there too.

We went Thermador for the cooktop and double oven. We'd considered other high line appliances like V, D and W...but friends with them all had had numerous service calls, YMMV. Thermador also has their HQ about 15 miles away so we got a demo of the appliances. At the time, they opened their test kitchen to prospective buyers to try and that sealed it. 7 years later, she enjoys using the cooktop and ovens.
