Sorry, but I don't have a Fenix E01.

Perhaps someone else could help out?

Re: ●=●=● La Petite Killer Ti AAA Keychain Light ●=●=●

when will these ship?

tricker,

See edit in first post--your light would not be able to ship until next week as I've run out of the RP Converter in 12mA. However, if you would like a RP Converter running at 40mA instead, then I can ship that tomorrow.

no thanks, i can wait....i was just wondering

Re: ●=●=● La Petite Killer Ti AAA Keychain Light ●=●=●

Can these Leds be driven at 40mA safely?
Can you estimate the brighteness and the run time by chance?

Thanks.

Yes, these LEDs can be driven at 40mA with no problem.

As for runtime, well if one were using the eneloop 800mAH battery, then the runtime would theoretically be 20 hours, but I haven't verified that in the real world. There is a possibility that the battry voltage could drop to .9V much earlier than the 20-hour mark, perhaps within a couple of hours, and then the driver wouldn't have enough to light the LED.

As for lumen output--I have no measurements, but here is a shot that I just took in a completely dark room, save for the 40mA Ti AAA Light, which had a Sanyo 1000mAH Ni-MH battery in it. The light was 12 feet away from the front of the desk. I taped a piece of white paper on the wall, which is a light green color normally. This photo seems to make the output look brighter than it appeared to my eyes.

Yes, your Killer was sent on September 7th--check your PP e-mail account--I sent confirmation to that address.

I only have four boards with the driver set at 40mA and they are not installed in any Killers yet, so if you want one, that would be no problem. Obviously, they would work best with the AAA battery rather than the Renata 357.

Got my Killer today. Very nicely done. Well built, smooth threads and nice finish. Good job Fred. :twothumbs

Re: ●=●=● La Petite Killer Ti AAA Keychain Light ●=●=●

Today I sent a bunch of Killers off to the PVD coating service that I hope to use. I sent both the Killer 357 and the Killer AAA and told them to go wild--give me whatever they though looked good. :D

I asked for these, but may be getting some others, too:

  • TiCN -- Titanium Carbonitride, copper color/brown, 2500 Vickers
  • AlTiN -- Aluminum Titanium Nitride, grey/black, 3600 Vickers
  • TiN -- Titanium Nitride, bright gold, 2500 Vickers
  • ZrN -- Zirconium Nitride, pale gold, 2800 Vickers
  • CrN -- Chromium Nitride, silver, 2500 Vickers
  • Black Diamond -- deep purple/black, high Vickers
Can't wait to see the colors, and the prices.
