Surefire U2 clip?

Can the clip on the Surefire U2 be removed?

If so could someone post photo's of how the clip attaches to the light and what it looks like without the clip?

Remove the tail. Slide the plastic retaining ring toward the tail about 0.2" (guessing). May have to push it against a counter top or something, as it can be stiff. When the ring has been moved, the clip can be pulled off. Then return the ring to its prior position. Reinstall tail.
