Silver is not that expensive.

Not really. It's thermal conductivity is only slight better than copper and it costs ~50 times as much per pound. Practically speaking from my experience with heat sinks even a copper heat sink, which has about twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum, is only about 50% better at dissipating heat (although it is twice as good spreading out the heat from a small source). Most LEDs dissipate so little power compared to other things that aluminum works just fine.
