Hi,

I want to change the reflector of my L2P to a IMS 17 Reflector :)

Are there any easy instructions to open L2P head without damaging the light?

Also, What tools do i need to buy from the hardware store in order to do such a thing.

Thanks in Advance.

Kryosphinx : LAMO :nana: .... I would still like to answer :p

IMS 17 will Actually RoCK :) as compared to standard fenix reflector.

I got an email from FenixLights.com and they have confirmed that I had a bad reflector/LED Placement. ...

Now instead of sending the light across and getting it fixed, I feel that I should be able to replace the old reflector with the new IMS :)

D@rk Messenger : thanks a lot for link.. i needed something like that...

Just wondering though... if my L2P's Head has been LOC'ed

The thread that D@rk Messenger linked to is about the L1P. According to an e-mail exchange I had with David/4sevens all of the L2P heads are potted.

when we say the light engine is potted. we mean that the light engine is fill with either epoxy or some sort of epoxy like stuff. we pot stuff either for protecting the light engine from shocks(we don't want those IC to drop off suddenly right?) or for preventing other people to know what is inside the engine.(some copyright or just some protective measures for the company)
