Hello everyone,
I am thinking about modifying a flashlight with a luxeon 3 emitter. What current should i drive it at if i plan to use 2 rechargable cr123a cells. (8.4v) and also, what bin code should i be buying?

Luxeon III's are binned at a current of 700mA. The lower the voltage bin and the higher the flux bin the more efficient the LED will be. If you use a circuit that will run at constant current then you will actually get more runtime the lower your forward voltage is.

In a code like UX0J the U is the flux bin (lumens), the X0 is the tint of the white light it puts out, and J is the voltage the LED needed to be fed in order to reach the 700mA of current that it was binned at.
