The "Aries" in particular.... hmmmmm

Laserglow has some pretty impressive lasers.

If i got hold of a visa card, i'd go for the hercules. Awesome power, plenty of safety features, good quality and when the batteries run out, you can use it as a club.

Yes... I've been tossing about the whole thing.. If I want a higher end one.. it seems I could go with the hercules series too.. with a nice big 2.0 watt diode but the units are very large being 3 D cells in size.

I hate to go over 250mw and get a fan because its unnecessary for my use and would only drain the battery fast and make noise.

I appreciate the 6 month warranty of laserglow and all the technical data they are willing to share.

One the other hand.. I can get the power of thier Hercules series in an Aries size if I go with the Optotronics RPL.. and it has a 2.5 watt diode.
The Optotronics lasers which are much smaller for their RPL series since they use Lithium ion. In fact they are about the size of the Aries and have a 2.5 watt diode to boot!
However, Optotronics measures thier power over 20 seconds whereas laserglow does 10 minutes.

I'm have having to research everything from scrach and would value your input if you are already veresed in all these issues.

maybe you know of some issues are problems with either one?

thanks...
