I was just messing around with the Ultrafire branded "K2" based 2x123a flashlight that I got on Ebay, and while noticing there was no Lumileds logo on the star inside, I decided to touch the emitter, and it was SOFT and flexible, like some kind of rubbery or siliconey material.
Is this the norm? Is this a known characteristic of a chinese LED maybe? It's hella bright for sure, and it has a copper slug down under the die, just like the K2, but man, that is WEIRD for the dome to be flexible.
