well my shotgun is not very popular so there are no lights or mounts for it
so i had to come up with my own solution
Surefire L4
used a barrel mount picatinny rail and a scope ring

and i also put my gladius on a ar15, so i no longer have two fantastic lights that i can carry around :(

my desk feels so empty now

You need a pressure switch mounted on forend.
HEH HEH
Really be "tactical"
I have my Surefire 951 on my M4 "forgery"
May have to put the new MiniD led also.
It is bright.
Ops, then have to buy more.
Well that's what happens on this site.
Been buying so much, I had to give some away.
Only good thing is since I teach this stuff, I get to take t of taxes.
Like a big discount.

although there are many magazine tube mounts available, you did a great job!

also, it may be an optical illusion, but are the mounting screws for the light unevenly torqued? (it looks like the back is looser than the front)

yes, there are a bunch of mag tube mounts
but none that would fit my 30mm tube

the screws are as evenly torqued as possible, but yes they are a bit uneven

Looks excellent!

What kind of shottie is that? The grip looks like from a FN shottie.

I love the L4, a true wall of light!

Dan - Looks great.

One suggestion I'd make is to move the L4 back towards the receiver a bit.
I shoot lots of 3-gun and tactical matches and you'll find very often the front
of the barrel is used to open, sweep, break, and move obstacles/objects.

The way you have yours set-up would surely cause the L4 to be removed
unwantedly.

Your thoughts?

yup +1 on what seery said. i think it is too clost to the muxxle and needs to be moved back more. but you did do a great job on finding a way to mount the light imprvise, adapt, and overcome.

Just out of interested, how much do guns like those pictured cost to buy and run (ammo, etc)?

Sweet pics! I especially like the sights on the shotgun. Too bad it has 6+1 capacity. Anything over 5+1 is illegal in my state.

good point, i had not thought of that
i just put it forward so that the barrel wouldn't cast a shadow
but your point seems valid, and thanks for the input
i'll be moving it back

Anyone have an idea of costs for these guns?

We obviously have nothing like that available in the UK, so i have idea about their cost, but they really do look cool.

define "nice" AR?

here in Michigan , you can have an AR (with none of that stuff hanging off of it) for around $700 USD.

the extra crap gets expensive. I was taught to use a bone stock rifle with open sights. anything else is extra.
