This may seem ludicrous, but my dream light is the NovaTac EDC 120P with a switch on the body of the flashlight below the head instead of on the tailcap (both is OK). A longer or completely different flashlight body is acceptable. Is there anybody who can do this? Any estimates of costs for the mod?

That would be a very hard mod,and it would add additional length to the light.
Im sure some of the skilled here could make something like that,but at a very high cost.
First small enough switch that comes to my mind is the LionCub switch.
Do a search for LionCub and you may find the light you were looking for
