I want to drive a Q5 or R2 with a RCR123, so input is 3.6v, output is 3.7v@1000ma, the driver need to be 0.55 inch, what driver i need?

**Do Not Feed The Vegan**,
GD 1000 Buck/Boost Converter
Minimum Vin: 1.8V
Maximum Vin: 5.4V
SOB 1000 Converter
Minimum Vin: ~3.0V
Maximum Vin: 16V
Both made by and sold at the Sandwich Shoppe, will fit the bill.
The GD1000 is more efficient if just one battery will be used, whereas the SOB allows for greater voltage.

Correct! :thumbsup: The SOB can handle the 7.2V (or more) of 2xRCR123, whereas the GD wouldn't much like it!

The NG generally doesn't like RCR123's - however it's possible, depending on the LED. But, to be on the safe side, if you plan on running RCR123's, go GD/SOB. (Or use a 3.0V RCR123 on the NG)
