Romisen RC-E4 not switching modes

I just got a Romisen RC-E4 from DX (http://tinyurl.com/32kthg), which is advertised as having 2 modes (high and low) as shown here: http://tinyurl.com/2o3mx4. However, I only get one mode (not sure which one) after clicking the switch off and on repeatedly. According to alfalfa's review at DX, the switch has a 7 ohm resistor, so is this something I can change myself, or should I contact DX? Would only the resistor prevent the modes from switching? Thank you for any assistance.

I have the same problem. I took everything apart and found no obvious means of correcting this. I like the light, so I'll live with it. -- Bill

Thank you, wonbyone. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who has experienced this issue. I also like the light, so I will use it with one mode.
