I am about to become a modder, but not by choice.

I have a coast 3C cell LED flashlight that the driver got destroyed in.

I want to put a new LED and driver in, but have no idea what parts would be the best.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

With a decent heatsink, you won't need any driver and can direct drive the LED off the batteries.

Does the light use a reflector or an optic?

Would you like to buy a new light to "temporarily" replace the Coast:naughty:?

For the LED, the Seoul P4 U-bin should work great.

As for the driver, I'm not sure how much space you have, but one of the "smart resistor" type drivers(like this one) should work at a good price. There are also buck/boost drivers, those will work better but cost more.

Thanks for the responses.

I have to find my calipers. Once I do, I'll take some measurements and post some pics to show how much space I have.
