Black Diamond Icon Bulb Question

Is it possible to change the standard Black Diamond Icon 3 watt LED out with a standard Luxeon K2 - 4 watt LED?

Luxeon III and K2 are names of different types of LED emitters. Wattage is a measure of how much current is going through a circuit. So, in theory, you could drive a LuxIII at 4 Watts. Not recommended, but you could do it.

I would advise you against using a K2 and swapping the Lux III for a Seoul P4 instead.

I have modded this light using a Seoul P4. The bulb fits without any modifications required (although the reflector is a bit tricky to seperate from the plastic board that attaches to the heatsink).

The light now is noticeably brighter.
