I've got a LED Headelight made by a company called Petzl (French I think). It has got 2 LED's in it. The light works ok but when I leave it on the LED's in it tend to slightly flicker somehow. I am using 3x AAA Eneloops in it that have been fully charged up. Not sure who makes the LED's in this unit either.

It looks like something like this:

If the contacts do not need cleaning, try to see if Petzl will warranty the light. If not, open it up and look for corosion on the inside or for any wire which may be loose or breaking off.

Or, is it possible that the flickering is due to the PWM frequency of the light?
Is the flickering constant or eratic?

I had a Petzl Tikka that acted the same way.

Try using brand-new alkaline batteries, and see what happens. I'll bet the flickering goes away!
