Anyone ever experiment with these for flashlight threads? They seem to offer a multitude of sizes and better features over standard orings - mainly less turning resistance and a channel for some grease to stay put. It specifically states that it has better sealing properties and outperforms a standard silicone o-ring in rotary applications.

They look appealing, I want to order some.

There's a huge and ongoing debate about these in the motorcycling community, they do hold grease better and double your sealing surface but the thinner edges are more prone to damage and catching edges so buy extras.

looks like a good concept but they better be using some high grade materials to build those things ...hence the ongoing motorcycle debate I suppose.

I think you might have better luck using two standard round o-rings in a slightly wider grove in the light body. It would function the same but be more durable, and easier to replace.
