mods - I hope this is in the right section?

So that I will be able to provide more informative reviews I have decided to buy a lux meter, but I'd like some advice as to which to buy. I want to spend as little as possible without compromising my data. My reasoning is that it's ok if it is inaccurate, since I can still compare different lights on the same meter, or find out what % it is off by and adjust the numbers. However, I worry, would a cheap lux meter drift in its readings, invalidating any % error I calculate?

It seems like the LM631A is the CPF standard... so is this your recommendation? If cheap meters drift, it seems like this is the minimum... but if the readings are always the same, I believe I saw one for <$20.

Thanks for reading :)
