RotoBeam Flashlight

What does anyone know about a 2 cell AA rotating head flashlight known as a RotoBeam?
Is it of comparable quality to AA Maglite?
Is it worth $12.00 to $15.00?

I'd never heard of the RotoBeam until now, did a quick Google search and came up with this:

Interesting design, I'm sure a few folks here will have experience of these lights and will chime in soon.

IIRC someone did a Luxeon in one about 6 months or so ago ... There were pix on CPF ...
