Here we go:

E1/kl4 vs LSH-P
KL4 is running on 3v, and still kicks arc's ***. Bugs the hell out of me.

The rest: LSH-P and A2

Can the KL4 be swapped back and forth between the L4 and E1e, like a KL1 between a E2e and E1e

Any estimate of output (lumens) and runtime with KL4 on E1e?

A 5Wer on a single CR123's gotta hurt... But then again, a 5Wer on a McLux head may be too good to pass up...

Nice pics FC!!! but please do us a favor...

Take a pic at an object form a distance (say 20´) comparing the E2(E) and the KL4

No one has done that, and I am sure some of us would like to see that pic.

Please!

Thnx!
Alex

Great pics FC, Thanks!! How does the L4 do compared to an incan in partial ambient lighting, does it get washed out like the 1W luxeons?

i suspect the runtime on the E1e with KL4 might be 20-30 minutes or so, compared to the 2 hour runtime you get with the arc. probably still better to run the KL4 with an E2e /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Great pics! By the way, jtivat noticed the KL4 ran about 1 second on 3V and then went into dim mode. That probably bugged the hell out of him too.

KL4 is the "head piece" of the L4... Essentially, an E2x with a KL4 head is called the L4...

... edit: What Al said...

That was my result the first time I tried it then I read others where doing it so I tried it again with a different battery and it worked fine. They where both new SF batteries /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

One last off topic photo question /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Are the shots for say the Surefire Catalog done with digital as well? Or are print materials still done with traditional?
