I just got an E2e CJ (Thanks Raindrop) and I've had an 8AX for quite a while...so I take the E2e out of the box, and it's brighter and whiter than the 8AX! so I figured the batt was a bit low on the 8AX. I switched it out and still, the E2e with 60 lumen LA is much whiter and slightly brighter than the 8AX. Also, the hotspot is nice and crisp and the flood is wider than the 8AX...can someone explain this to me? Thanks,

I can't explain exactly why, but the same thing happened to me. My first SF light was an original model 6P. I scrimped and saved for an 8X, and when I finally got it, I was surprised to find that the beam from the 6P (65 lumens) was whiter and (apparently) brighter than the one from the 8X (110 lumens). I understood about the total output concept of lumens versus the concentrated output of candlepower; still, I was somewhat disappointed that the 8X, with nearly twice the output of the 6P, looked kind of yellow.

Still, when I am not comparing the lights, the 8X looks fine and plenty bright.
