Hey guys not sure if anyone has tried this yet but found out the head of my mini123 fits on the body of my ultrafire c3, and boy is it impressive with a 14500 :twothumbs

Just wondering, is running it like this on a 14500 harmful to the mini123 head/led :poof: or is it essentially the same as running the mini123 on a rcr123

Btw I havnt ran it on high for more than a few seconds yet...... and the c3 head also works on the 123 body if anybody was wondering :grin2:

Update: Here are some pics

Same voltage and so it won't be a problem as long as you heed 4Sevens warnings on the Li-Ion - which is essentially don't let it get too hot and don't run it on high too long. Nice find - I usually try things like this when I get a new light but haven't had the time lately. Any pics?

I did find the head and body on the Mini 123 swap with the iTP AEOS A1.

Should be fine, 16340 Lithium Ion = 14500 Lithium Ion = 4.2V

that opens up the 2AA option as well (but NOT 2x14500-LiIo), although I don't know how well regulated the quark driver is at lower Vin. *edit* But thats assuming ultrafire C3s are all identical/compatible.

I'm not sure which UF C3 you have but just checked mine and the threads are the opposite gender. That is the tail on one is male threads and the other tail is female threads. It also looks like the thread pitch is different.

My iTP A1 head does the same with my C3 Stainless Steel body.

The other way has some reach issues.
Protected 14500 is a bit long on the C3 and it does not close enough to work.

Levels are like the A2.

Thanks for the heads up, the A1 is very much the same as the Mini.
