direct drive question

hey guys, its been a while since ive posted here so excuse my stupidy.



my favourite AAA flashlight recently died due to the circuit board failing. i couldnt find a small circuit board that fits so i plan to direct drive the p2 emitter.



i dont know much, but apparently i require 3.6v to power the emitter? a single AAA battery has 1.2 - 1.5v.



i directly connected 3*AAA batteries to the emitter and it powers on, however, the casing only holds a single AAA battery lol.



any help on what to do?
