Want a better grip for your LS? Just take an O-ring, slide it over the body to the slot where the TSP and light meet and you have a surringe grip/added seal/nice looking too.
Ok that kinda sounded like flashlight porn but, it works. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hahaha.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Love O-rings. A visit to Lowes put O-rings in all the "slots" on all my Streamlight Twin Tasks, Task Lights, and even on my Ultrastinger, Surge, and 6P, and 9P.

Cheap, versatile improvement.

Looks neat also.

Bad memory, but I think they were "Danco" brand.

I have the grips off of legend aa's on all of my edc lights. They are difficult to get on, but well worth the effort.

Do you have any pics? I have seem some pretty wide o-rings that would work real sweet...
I'd like to see what you have used.

Thanks!

Sorry no pics. but I tried several different ones I had lying around and I liked a simple round one the best. As to the size, don't know just find one that stretches over and stays tight.
This is not rocket science just simple ingenuity. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink2.gif

I did a very easy add on to the LS for better grip (also easy to remove too). I just stuck on 3 narrow pieces of 3M No-Slip flooring tape to the body. If you like colors you can also use skateboard tape too, but I like the flooring tape cause it's rougher. You can try around the body or straight up and down - up to you. This REALLY makes it easy for you to grip with no slip. BTW, this is the exact same way I added grip to the front strap of my 1911.

Something that occured to me the other day, was to add shrink tubing, but with a twist. I was thinking of using a small hole punch to perforate it, and then shrink it over the body. The shrink tubing is not reall grippy, but I thought the holes would provide a texture to hold onto.

Would try this at work Thursday, but they've already closed the govt in anticipation of the hurricane... Oh well, got plenty of beans and batteries!

Well I went one further I took 3 O-rings progressively thicker and put them on now it truly looks and works like a surringe grip. and man does that dress up the outline. I will try to get a pic. tomarrow.

Good idea. I tried one of my spare O-rings as per this thread and it fit nicely. Clever! However, I took it off, as I preferred the clean, smooth unadorned LS better for going in and out of my pocket. The rubber made it easier to grab, but also added a bit of "friction action" when going in and out.

Try it and see; some will like it, I chose to go back to "stock".

I desided to to try this out.

I kinda like it, doesnt look that bad, and adds ALOT more grip.
Makes the cigar holding trick work real well.

I use my LS with a 123 twisty. I found that a rubber band around the head and one around the base makes the LS much easier to quickly turn off and on with one hand. It stays in the pocket better too.
That tape sounds like a good idea though.
