I bought a couple of these from ebay to use a lights on my pushbike but after the first use of about 45 mins on full brightness, both reflectors were showing signs of deforming and melting. A few more uses later and one failed completely as the LED appears to have moved on it's board.
I have spoken to the seller and have the opportunity to send these back or get 50% of my money back so I'm now thinking about replacing the LED module etc which a higher quality one and trying to improve the heat transfer to ensure a longer life.
As I've never modified one before I was hoping for some advise to see what parts I need and how I should go about ensuring that I don't get a repeat performance if I do.
If you can keep it simple so I can start learning the terms for the various parts it would be very much appreciated!
