Help--E1E won\'t light up!

Hi,
I got an E1E elite this afternoon, after a few seconds the light went out.

I tried replacing the battery, nothing happens.

I removed the bezel and put on a KL1 bezel, no light.
I removed the KL1 and put on a KL4 bezel, no light.

I changed the end cap to a "clicky" no light with any of the bezels.

I changed the battery again , no light with any of the bezels.

What could the matter be?

Try this.

Disassemble the light, removing the head, battery and tailcap from the body.

Stuff a wad of tissue in the tail end of the body to keep grit out of it.

Using a piece of 400 or 600 grit emery cloth/paper placed on a hard surface, hold the body upright and sand smooth the "tailcap end". Just 3 or 4 passes should be enough, you just want to clean and smooth the aluminum end of the body.

Remove tissue. Wipe clean inside. Wipe clean and relube the threads on the body's tail end.

Reassemble.

If that doesn't work cantact Surefire.

Sigh,
The bezel o ring was a bit high and was prevently (I think ) a good connection...

I think the MN01 is toast, It won't light up on the e1e or e2e

If you tried the MN01 in an E2e, chances are its a goner.

do a resistance test on the bulb, if its open its time for a new one, contact surefire, the bulb on a new light should last longer than seconds you got a bad bulb
