dumb advice

There are always dodgey sales people out there who make up things just to try to make a sale.

This guy told me the other day that you can't get anything brighter and better than a maglite. Then again, when i asked him about surefires, he had never heard of them. figrures!

this other guy, when asked the difference between the magnumstar and whitestar maglite globes, he told me that they were the same, and depends which maglight model I have.

what's the dummest thing a sales person told you regarding flashlights?

i've actually never talked to a salesperson about a flashlight...
a clerk did look at me funny when i was drooling into a surefire display case one time, but that's about as close as i've gotten.

when he said maglite was the brightest, what light did you whip out and blind him with?

i usually go and 'test' their knowledge to see how much they really know, just for a laugh.
