KL3 head...on a non SF body??

Has anyone ever tried threading a KL3 head onto a different body, say a Dorcy 2 123 body? I bought a KL3 head and have it on my G2..but now I have an extra head laying around. I thought if I could use the KL3 on a cheaper 123 body, I'd have the best of both worlds. Anyone ever tried this??
If not, I might have to see about re-threading my Brinkman with the clickie switch.

IIRC, there is a streamlight model that will take a surefire e-series head. With an E2C adapter, the KL3 should work on it as well.

Hi Guys,

I have tried my kl1 & kl4 on my scorpion with success but don't know if the kl3 will fit on a streamlight or any other brand than surefire.

I was thinking along the lines of adapting my KL3 to fit on my Brinkman LX..complete with nice clickie switch....it would make the LX much more useable.

Hmmm....

Don't know about the LX as I no longer have one. If I remember right the scorpion head would NOT screw onto the LX as the threads were different. However the KL3 *might* work if its possible to make an adapter.
