I have a VERY old Brinkmann 2,3,5 cell (D) flashlight. Still worked well, but the batteries did not last long enough so I searched for a conversion.
Found the TerraLUX TLE-6EX (MiniStar 5) bulb at Battery Junction. 140 Lumens. Took a little modification, but it works great!
They advertise that the bulb is virtually unbreakable, but I managed to break the fisrt one I bought. Very happy with it now!
