Hi everyone,

This is the version of my shorty mag that comes with the 10 amp tail switch.

In place of the standard single XML2 is a Triple XML2 light engine, with all 3 emitters direct bonded to copper sinkpads. The driver board has a max output of 6000ma and comes equipped with my Sport user interface.

This light may well be the brightest single 25560 powered light available on the market today, with an estimated output of 1400+ OTF lumens.

The best feature of this light however is not just the brightness of the beam, but its usefulness. The 3 orange peel reflectors provide a beam as soft as Egyptian cotton, with a super wide viewing angle while maintaining a nice throw.

For reference here's a shot of my Quark AA2 with XML.

Now the 3 XML2 shorty.

Very nice.I have a few questions. C or D mag? 26650 or 25650 or? What is your sport interface? any parasitic drain from driver? side switch eliminated? imr only? and any chance of beam shot compared to your other mag shortys

Hey FatRat,

I am glad you like it. The mag body is a D cell. 26mm cells will fit. I dont think 7135 drivers have any parasitic drain. Here is the UI info

The UI consists of 4 groups.
1. Ramp mode low to high with memory.
2. Low 2%, Med 25%, High 100% with memory.
3. Low 2% Med 25%, High 100%, Srobe, SOS, Beacon, NO memory.
4. High 100%, Low 15%.

The light will come preset to your choice of group if needed.
Mode groups are switched by 8 fast clicks <.25 sec.
The driver has a low voltage flash at 3V to protect li-ion cells.
Upon entering the beacon mode there is a battery indicator flash. The light will quickly flash 1 time for each 0.1V above 3V and then enter the beacon mode.

Here is a video of the UI in action.

The side switch has been eliminated, the light has been rethreaded at both ends so the knurling is centered. IMR, INR and ICR cells should all be fine for this light. If I have time when I get home from work tonight I will try to get a beam shot of the 2 lights :)
