Here's a review here, http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...ples)-Review

I think the green/red power button feature is pretty innovative. Could be a gimmick, but cool nonetheless.

In any case, what I am interested in is how strong the rotary detent is when changing modes. For some rotary models the detent is pretty weak and can be changed in pocket or what not. Looking for comments, thanks!

Here is an excellent review of the MSC20 by SubWoofer
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?352620-a

I have the MSC20, and while I really like the rotary tail selection switch as a UI, its detents are not deep enough, or stiff enough to keep it from inadvertently allowing the light to come on while in my pocket. This was mentioned in a review that I read prior to buying it, but I didn't grasp the significance of the statement until I owned it. One can avoid this problem by locking out the tail cap. IMO a PIA.

Also, I really like the beam, nice broad hot spot, with a smooth transition to spill, it is good for anything at arm's length to idk 120 feet. This is where I use my light 99% of the time.

It is nice that the low can be adjusted to somewhere between very low, and I think 60%, but the transition comes so quickly, that it is difficult to pin-point the output level. However, on mine, the PWM is very noticeable on very low. I don't see it at about 30%.

I thought that the battery indicator in the tail cap was a really cool feature when I bought it, but found that I check my batteries in all my lights often enough that I don't rely on that feature at all.

I hope this helps.
