Just got my Nichia D25C and love it overall. I have an AW Black 16340 (freshly charged) in there and I know the turbo mode lasts 200 seconds and that it is of course normal for a light to get hot during these times. I just had it on for maybe 5 minutes, and the light was unbearably hot - to the point where I could not hold it anymore. I turned it off. After removing the battery the battery was warm, but not nearly as hot as the tube. Is this normal?

Sounds normal since you were not holding it, holding it dissipates some of the heat to your hand and keeps it from getting so hot.
