I have an older E1B that came off a gun with a broken pressure switch and I wanted to repurpose it as an ordinary light. I got a z68 (new) tail cap and installed it, but when I click nothing happens. Does the Z68 have a revision that makes it not compatible?

Here's a video that demonstrates the issue:

I really appreciate any help. I searched the forum for z68 and e1b but didn't find anything related. The e1b did function with a UE07 pressure switch ok.

Can you test the tail cap? I use that combination on an E1B, and so do many others, it's a classic combo.

I use the Z68 on one of my E1B as well and it works great. Allows for tail standing and a better one handed/2 finger-thumb activation as well. In the video it appears the Z68 tightens down up against the light body? Hard to tell from the angle it was taken from. There should be a slight gap when fully tightened. Not much. But some. If there is no gap it could mean the switch outer ring isn't coming into contact with the body.
