Flashlight getting dim

I have a Shiningbeam LED flashlight that I bought several years ago that is getting really dim. Do LED's lose their power over time? This thing used to be really bright, now it's barely useable.
Any chance I can fix or salvage it? It runs off of one 18650 cell. I could post picks.

Just out of interest, have you tried a different battery?

Just for grins I will check it with some NIB cells. They are on the charger now.....................................................

Clean it up as well. Over time slight oxidations can cause much more resistance in the overall circuit path.
