Batteries for new flashlight advice

Hello everyone.

Bit of a noob question I'm afraid.

I have just bought an Emisar D2v4 and a lumintop fw3a. Could you please recommend batteries for both and where I could purchase in the UK please ?

I am aware the FW3a requires a non protected 18650 and is recommended to use a Sony cell but there is no advice about an unprotected 18350?

And can I use a protected call in the D2v4?

I have no specifics about your lights and their needs, but I always go to https://www.ecoluxshopdirect.co.uk// for all my cells.
They are very reliable and they don't sell fakes.
They even answer emails, amazingly.

There is no Emisar D2. I have the Emisar D4V1 and their D4V2 and both do about 15A-18A, so you need naked, unprotected cells capable of 15A+, so I use Sony/Murata VTC-5As in mine.

Yeah, it's one of the coolest pocket lights one can own, but it sucks the juice on turbo. Anything capable of a constant/continuous 20A should be sufficient.

I ordered a pair of Samsung 30Q cells but they were out of stock and the supplier offered Song VTC6. Will these be ok?

yes that should be no problem as its a very high drain cell.
