Are there any LED lights that would come close to or compare to an AA Mini-MagLite?

It is a tough comparison though. There are many, many LED lights that are brighter, and many more that are dimmer. But then there is the quality of the light to consider. If you like the splotchy, inconsistent light of the MiniMag, you'll be disapointed in almost all the LED lights. Likewise, if you like the way the bulb in the Mini Mag easily breaks - you'll again be disappointed in the LED lights. Take a stroll through these posts, and you'll find hundreds of pictures of beams compared. Many of them included the mini mag.
