I was just looking at bright guy and seen these. there advertised to have a redsigned case with easier battery change and water resistance. maybe it was possible for them to do this since there is no switch? im guessing the photon 2000 is the photon1? wouldnt this light be better than the photon 2 if you dont need the switch. I haven't seen anyone talk about it here. im thinking of ordering one since there only 11.50 from brightguy.

I have a Photon 2000 covert. It has resided in a drawer since I received my Photon III covert however.

In my experience, there are always instances in which a constant-on feature is useful or even "necessary." Hence, the Photon II or III provide more options.

The Photon II is the easiest to use, but if you need water resistance, then the III might be better. But as noted by many CPF members, the Photon III switching mechanism leaves a lot to be desired.
