Sold/Expired 5W LED mod for Long Bow Micra & Mini

I would like to buy some parts and mod a 5W LED capsule for my LongBow Micra and Mini.

I hope that this mod 5W led can be use on both the Micra and Mini
It can accept both 1 x 123 and 2 x 123 Cell.
It can give a very bright and regulated light beam.
It can be use on my Longbow Booster & PR head.

Can anyone please advice me on what or which parts to buy and from where can I get the parts?
It would be best if there's an instruction for assembling it too.

Hope that this does exist as I'm asking too much.

Morgan are you not going to wait for the LB Max anymore?

A Badboy 650-700 will drive the Lux V nicely off a 123 or even better off a JSB123, but be careful of the heat. My Badboy 750 gets pretty hot after only a few minutes.

Do not know when the Max 5W capsule will be "out"

But would a self made 5W led be better than the original one?

Get a McCapsule and build it with a DownBoy 917mA circuit board with a good binned LuxIII (TW0J/TX0J/TY0J/TV0J). Can use on Micra (1xR123), Mini (2xR123) and Eco (3xR123).

R123 refer to Rechargable 123.

You can use it with original LB bezel, LB Booster Head and McLux head with special modified reflector.

Just found out yours is a 3W led. I need a 5W one.

Can I still build a 5W led Capsule?
Can this 5W led work with Micra (1xR123), Mini (2xR123) and Eco (3xR123)?

5W got more flood, 3W got more throw. So you want more flood or more throw?

I only dare to run a 5W LED with 1xR123 with a BB500/750.

I CANNOT run a 5W LED with 2xR123 or 3xR123 with a BB500/750.

I CAN run a 3W LED with 1xR123, 2xR123 and 3xR123 with a DB917.

Why 5W when a 3W can be brighter and has more throw?

Isn't 5W suppose to be brighter than 3W led?

and I found out that the capsule screw thread for the Mini and Micra are different. So I guess I would not be able to use the capsule on both the mini and micra body.

Just to check are your mini and micra body internal screw thread the same? as you state that your mod capsule can be use for both 1 x R123 and 2 x R123. Please advice

Hard for me to explain. You better see both of them yourself.

My mini and micra body internal screw thread are the same. I can use the same modded capsule in diff body.
