Hello CPF! I've been a long time lurker but I suppose its time to take a plunge and participate ( u really can't be one forever I suppose).

Anyways, I think it's going to be a BRIGHT X'mas for me; I'm expecting a Nuwai Q3 from relatives in L.A. and I just saw a variant of a AL 306 from a local military surplus store. Will give updates on each. This is a great forum!

Tnx for the welcome. With the current world economy we have right now (1$ = 56 Pesos!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif do the math and weep. . .), even though I'm seriously craving for a SF L1,I think I'll have to pass 'til much later on.

I'm really looking forward to both of the lights, the Q3 being highly spoken of here and the AL 306 variant, something like the Xenergy twinlight earlier posted here BUT runs on common 3AAA's. Saves on more expensive cr123's for me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Stay, linger, lurk and participate. I have been here for a year now. CPF is a great forum with great guys. Don't be intimidated by all the techie talk, as I myself was not an electronics guy. Tons of info to work around here. Just ask or try to 'use' the search function.
