Pt40 - Mag 3C bulb - Nimi 2300mAh / Bulb Failure!

I have blown 2 bulbs in 2days. The first one lasted for about 90 minutes and the second one just about 30.

I use the light when I'm working on my car so I leave it on for 30-45 minutes at a time.

Witch bulb should I get for my Pt40 to keep this from happening?

Based on my computation, a 3-cell(KPR103) bulb has a re-rated life of around 37 minutes if overdriven with 4 batts.

Stick within the original bulb specs if you want a longer bulb life. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I concur with snoofer on this.

Theoretically a 3 cell KPR (not XPR!) on 4 NimH should last pretty good. But I blew one in my PT40 leading me to the 4 cell Xenon.

I have now used the 4 cell Xenon for a day, and the beam does not look nearly as good as the 3cell (LWSA301). What wound happen if I use the 4cell LWSA401? Will this last longer? What would the beam look like?
