hey, I just got a Streamlight TL-2 LED from Ranger Joe's here where I live...
(flashlight page) next i'm thinking about the Streamlight Task-Light 2L3W...
They have a free mail catalog with sign up ,so I thought I would share...

I thought about modding the TL-2 LED Gen 2 with a Luxeon III or V watt side emitter...
would the TL-2 have enough power... and would the side emitter have more throw then
the high dome that's in there now? thanks...

I also have thought about putting a 3 watter in a TL-2, but havent figured out how to open the LED module (yet).

thanx, I've been hanging around with my dorcy 1W, coast v2 1W, along with a few other cheap led lights. The Dorcy 1AAA started it all. lol But now I want brighter and smaller! lol People think my crazy for spending so much on Flashlights, but they just dont understand! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif anywho, so would the SE have better throw then the HD?

High Domes usually have more throw than the side-emitters. Lux III usually have more throw than the Lux V.

2L3W ~ 2480 at beam center.

TL-3 LED ~ 795 at beam center.
