I'd tell you, but I'd have to bust a solder joint or two and I ain't doing that!

It is a nice white Star however. Warmer white than anything I have except one XM3.

I am COMPLETELY satisfied with it!
Wish my 3D had the same bin, but it ain't too shabby in it's own right.

Sean: is the RX1G slightly greenish?
If anyone finds an RXOG please give it to me!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Notice how everyone has an R bin! Progress! I think that the new Lumileds "1.25watt now is rated at 40 lumens typical" statement must be true!

Yes, it's on the green side of white, but acceptably so. I'm not as offended by a slight green tint as some people are. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Just went and got 4 more for some serious modding later.

The stars that came are;
QX1J - dimmer and greenish
RV1H - bright and pusss-greenish-yellow. :sick2:
RWOJ - white, but still slightly greenish nonfat milk white bordering my WX1T's tint.

RYOH - The brightest one with a cool white output that isn't really very blue.
This one looks great!

RYAJ in a silver. Picked the most centered emitter.

It is a bit better than the terrible PX1J in my new SL Jr Lux... yuck.

I must be the only one that got a Q bin. I got a QWOH. Nice color on it but I might have to spin the wheel again and try for a R bin like everyone else seems to be getting.

Just reged my client on his pc at work. ;)
Actually, I got an even worse QX1J in mine a few posts up.
Glad you were able to score an RWOJ. :)
That's a great one imo.
I just sold mine and shipped it today along with the RYOH.

I haven't taken them apart yet but both are very decent... My new style 3D Super 1W has an RYAK which is, very very nice... Though both my Metal Gears are nice on their own, when compared against each other, one is less green and slightly brighter than the other and that one looks a LOT like the RYAK. The other is probably an RX1* by my guess.

Both both of my Sam's Elements are brighter and more intense than the Metal Gear... is the Metal Gear slightly resistored or something? Maybe the Sam's are just using lower Vf LEDs because they are both brighter than my brightest Metal Gear.

That would certainly explain it... Are the Sam's 3xAAA lights (which I'm 99.99% sure are Dorcy lights) resistored as well?
