Hi,
My first post!!

Can someone help me mod my 4D mag?
Its about 7 years old, still on the OEM bulb. The lens has become cloudy and hazy.

I want to get the most out of it (combination of intensity and run time), say for $50. Winter storm season is right around the corner.

?????

Where do I start? All comments welcome! :)

Thanks,
Garrett

$50 can be done. Someone can chime in with the proper links. IIRC flashlightLens offers an O-sink / UCL lens package for about 16.00. for single level use, a buck convertor rated at 1000mA (madmax, badboy... like that) should work for about 17.00-20.00 (i'm guessing) and a white LUX III for about 15.00-18.00.

The LUX and the buck convertor can be found at the shoppe.

Only minor modding will be needed, ie space needle type stuff. cut off the back of the reflector, wire in the buck board and install the LUX on the o-sink. Even with basic soldering skills and wal-mart epoxy, it could easily be made in one evening.
