I'll give the nod to the L4 even though the extra volume seemed that it might be too noticeable at first.
Hurray! Although the L4 is a little larger than the Stylus, I don't notice it. What the L4 does better: it's brighter, clickie action, non-slippery switch, better beam and no back spill.
I still like the solid, brass body of the Stylus, its smaller profile...AND it was my first LED pen light in 25 years of wearing out pocket protectors & 222/2AAA, cheapo alkie penlights.
