I don't think it is worth the hastle for someone to use a Q5 because you would need to fit a new optic or reflector where as with the P4 it just replaces the luxeon as the beam pattern is very close.

Thats is right, I try both today and I leave the Seoul P4 what I order from DX and receive just yesterday... Great result... easy to fit...
 
Tried a Cree Q5 once while I was still waiting for my SSC to arive. Beam was terrible as the Cree must get right against the optics. If you remove the black spacer between the emitter and optics you may get it to work. Just go for the SSC instead and don't waste your time.
