Do you use the Mini-Maglite butt cap lanyard hole?

I hadn't made a point yet.

I have a Philips AA that has a better switch than Streamlight or Brinkmann. I think modding a Mini is pointless and you should make the leap to Strion or something.
I have 3 Strions - one I bought over a dozen years ago, one I've been using for over a decade and still do (and is sitting next to me as I type), and one I just bought within the past 2 months (which is also sitting next to me as I type). They are my favorite lights of all time - hands down. None have ever failed me even once, or had any part replaced, and the first 2 have seen some serious use.

My modding that MiniMag is 100% for nostalgia. I think this is the first light I've ever modded. I've always wanted a MM with a tailswitch, and later an LED, and I now have it (thanx to LITT). I simply love playing with it in my living room. It likely won't ever leave my living room. I literally grin and giggle like a schoolgirl every single time I pick it up and turn it on (which is still a good many times a day, for over a month now). I can't get enough of that. It's hard to buy that many grins and giggles for that kind of money.

Anyone who poses a question to which they either do or should already know the answer is making a point. I'm not an attorney, but I do know that. My Grandfather was a dang good one, and he taught me many things.

Because I'm not aware that that newer version switch is listed on LITT's site. If I knew that, I'd have (happily) listed that link instead. That's why. Did you look sir? Send me a URL when you find it. I'd like to order one, but prefer to get it directly from LITT. They're practically next door to me (as well as being classy).

I'm not saying they're perfect, nor do I know. I only said they're classy, which that is IMO. I'm also currently totally unfamiar with the current gen LED MInis - I only use tailswitch lights in that size category.

I've not been interested enough to check, so I'll take your word that they made an error. I made one today myself, because I guess I'm not perfect either.

BTW, I really like both the switches and LED retrofit 'drop-in' I'm using from them very much so far.

Going to jump the tracks to a Strion rail briefly. There are 2 incan Strion versions. First has a diamond knurling like a Maglite and S/N in a series. Second version has ribs cut out of the knurled area for better grip and has year produced in the S/N.

Now back to the Litt switch briefly. The owner makes parts for holding lights onto motorcycles and other light brackets. Hence the name Litt. They are machined in AZ. His wife said "make me some Maglite upgrades". So he does that too. Not sure if he outsources his LED upgrades or builds in house. Probably outsourced though as he is a machinist, but not Gene Malkoff who does his lights stem to stern lol.

Now back to the lanyard thing, you know the original topic here: At one point minimags did not have the cut out for the kubatan. Member Burgess used to talk about his 1984 minimag that had a completely round tailcap. Tony made some changes along the way. When Don Keller worked at Maglite he played a role in some of them.

And at Home Depot and other places could be had in a kit that contained a body clip, filters, anti-roll device and a wrist strap for like $3 more. And at one point ZBattery sold just the wrist strap for $2 each. I've bought many-a-classic (read late model) Maglite from ZBattery for the throwey beam from Luxeon days or because such as the case with the ML25IT, (ie incan) they were the only source.
