    Have you seen the FlexMod driver? A lot of people use it for their red and blu-ray modules in their projectors. You can use it on greenys also, but most greens have their own driver. ;) It has analog modulation and I am sure you could add a pot to the 5 volt modulation lead for the same...

    You could probably build one for less than $100. I am not saying buy from this seller, but they have both modules, 5mW each Red and green and it says it "ships" from the US...

    What you need is a nice lil 3mW 594nm pointer. They tend to be a bit on the expensive side, although someone could probably fake one for you with a 1mW green and 3mW red...

    Personally I don't think anything less than 100mW of 405 is worth having; just not visible enough. Even 445nm is a bit dim under 100mW. I wish there was some way to bring the 445nm diode prices down. Definatly looking forward to a review from the "review master". :candle: I am interested...

    I have to disagree with this point. A 100mW blu-ray in an Aixiz host can be focused to a nice point that will burn very nicely across a whole room with only the optic included in the host. You'd just need a fast motor to twist the lense fast enough and again the tracking system... :tinfoil:

    The lasers themselves are not illegal, the importation of them is now illegal. I beleive this is only for handheld modules over 5mw because I have no problem getting lab modules shipped in. I am not 100% but I think Optronics can still get a higher powered handheld module for you.
