I favored the USB charging ability and went for the Fenix HL60R :-) Thanks a lot for your input JAS!
Not having to buy the 18650 and a charger and the flexibility to charge from USB convinced me. I still think the controls could have been better but...
Isn't this a good way to have a very versatile power bank? Depending on the length of the trip you're going to make you can bring along X number of 18650s.
Is there any drawback with a powerbank of say 10400 mAh compared to this charger with 4 x 18650s?
About the Nitecore HC90 is stated that charge current is limited to 500mA in the review quoted below

Can this headlamp also be used with the Fenix ARB-L18-3500 18650 accu, 3500 mAh? I suspect it does, but just to be sure as I find it odd that they have given the specs utilising the 2600 mAh version...
Doest it also except the older FEARB-L2 accu's? (I think they're flat...
I think the Fenix ARE-X1 is a better solution for my needs then. Does anyone of you know if the Fenix ARE-X1 can charge both button and flat top cells?

I was thinking about using this charger in combination with the Nitecore HC50 Headlamp which accepts only button top 18650's. Will this charger work in combination with the Nitecore button top accu's?
